Beautifully located in Tuscany's Lucca area, Villa Elisa dates back to the 18th century, with beautiful interiors, large gardens, a private pool and indoor spa.
Located in the serene village of Vorno in the Lucca area, Villa Elisa is designed for exclusivity, comfort and conviviality. The 18th-century estate has recently been renovated, and now comprises of an elegant villa and charming guesthouse - accommodating up to eighteen guests in total. Inside the main villa, guests can enjoy spacious living areas, including a library, as well as six beautifully designed bedrooms, each with an en suite. There is also a fantastic wine cellar and a magnificent spa space, kitted with hydromassage jets, a sauna, hammam, treatment room and relaxation area. The guest house is comfortable and well-appointed, ideal for teens or for those travelling with staff, with three bedrooms, a living space and kitchen.
Outside, guests can enjoy a spacious pool, tennis court, vegetable garden and a large garden-park of two hectares with its own lake. There is also a lovely selection of outdoor seating options for wining and dining. The garden is divided into several themed areas, each with their own character. The gazebo space is perfect for weddings and other special celebrations. A chef is included for one meal a day and there are a choice of restaurants within walking distance.
Further informal restaurants are within easy driving distance tucked away in the countryside or in nearby villages. Within 15 - 20 minutes drive, Lucca is an enchanting Tuscan town - strolling through the historic centre, pausing at old-fashioned, cafes, pastry shops and visiting churches and museums is a real pleasure. Florence is easily accessible by train or bus. Sandy beaches are approximately 30 minutes drive away. There are music, cinema and dance festivals in Lucca, at beach resorts and smaller local festivals celebrating Saints days with impromptu suppers and dancing under the stars in the country villages. At Torre del Lago, just south of Viareggio, there is the summer Puccini Opera Festival.
The Guest House is comfortable and well-appointed but is not of the same style/standard as the main villa so is best suited for teenagers or young adults or staff members.
Please note that if the villa is cancelled 60 days or less before departure, the full amount for the villa rental will be due.

Although they are only 17km apart, Pisa and Lucca instantly feel like different worlds. The former is a lively student city on the River Arno, and has one of the world’s most recognizable monuments: the Leaning Tower of Pisa. Understated Lucca is compact and genteel, ideal for a Tuscany villa nearby, with handsome piazzas that frame churches in the Luccan-Romanesque style. Those on a Lunigiana holiday occupy the Apennine foothills in far north-western Tuscany. It is rolling, blissfully empty terrain whose few inhabitants have cultural links with neighbouring Liguria.
